This is the first book to look at an increasingly popular form of street art: the 'wheatie' or wheat paste-up. Many street artists dont graffiti or stencil any more but use pre-prepared paper images that can be taken down, thereby avoiding a vandalism charge. The book will show the work of 20 artists, with photographs of their work, an article about their work and a fold-out paste-up. The fold-out pages are perforated so they can easily be removed. Some of the paste-ups will be laser cut with attaching tags so they can be popped out. There's also an introductory interview with cult street artists Sten & Lex.

Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak formed their design studio M/M in Paris in 1992; it is now recognized as one of the most distinctive and acclaimed voices in graphic design. Their close associations with the music, fashion and art worlds have led to them becoming one of this generations most distinctive and influential voices in graphic design. Each work they produce is unique, but elements of their design recur and reverberate, leitmotifs in a larger graphic narrative that is somehow unified, despite the range of their output. Published to mark their twentieth anniversary, here is the definitive monograph and record of hundreds of their mind-blowing projects. With texts by graphic-design historian Emily King, interviews with key collaborators such as Bjork and photographer Inez van Lamsweerde, and a design by Londons Graphic Design Facility, this book presents projects alphabetically from M to M. This ambitious monograph is a rare document and insight into the work and minds of Europes most intriguing and iconoclastic imagemakers on the occasion of their twentieth anniversary. The duos idiosyncratic visual language is brilliantly showcased here in hundreds of illustrations and photographs of their cutting-edge work. Interviews with other graphic designers, musicians, fashion designers, artists and curators, as well as Amzalag and Augustyniak themselves, tell M/Ms story, reveal their areas of interest and their process and define their position both within graphic design and beyond. Among the stars with whom they have collaborated are Yohji Yamamoto, Sarah Morris, Bjork, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Jil Sander, Kenzo, Givenchy and Calvin Klein. Some of their images are instantly recognizable to the world at large the cover of Madonnas American Life, for example some are less well known, but highly regarded among the design cognoscenti. Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak established M/M Paris in 1992, and quickly caught the attention of the fashion world, working for Yohji Yamamoto and Nicolas Ghesquiere at Balenciaga, and later with Jil Sander, KENZO, Givenchy and Calvin Klein. The pair have also developed rich collaborations with musical artists, most notably Madonna and Bjoerk, and a long list of independent producers. Each work M/M produces is unique. Yet, despite this, elements of their designs recur and reverberate, leitmotifs that serve to unify a larger graphic narrative. Although print - along with an illustrative approach to typography - lies at the heart of M/M's work, they have also produced unexpected three-dimensional designs for the stage, restaurants and fragrances. This new monograph showcases hundreds of mind-blowing projects produced over the past ten years, including their work with LOEWE, Dior and Givenchy. With texts by renowned contributors and interviews with key collaborators, including Peter Savile, Miuccia Prada, Jonathan Anderson and Hans Ulrich Obrist, the book presents projects alphabetically, starting and ending with the letter "M", thus "starting" in the middle. Taken all together, this is a tantalizing insight into the work and minds of Europe's most intriguing - and iconoclastic - image-makers.

MMXX tells the story of architecture in Australia in the first two decades of the 21st century. Shaped by unprecedented prosperity, urbanisation, uncertainty and internationalisation, the past two decades have produced some of the most significant and diverse architecture in this country. This richly illustrated volume reflects on and evaluates this period, taking the reader on a journey through varying scales and locations - from ambitious city-making projects to finely crafted homes and elegant sheds nestled in the scenic countryside.
Showcasing 59 acclaimed projects completed between 2000 and 2019, the book features work by more than 100 practices. Turn the pages to experience the urban generosity of Harry Seidler & Associates Riparian Plaza in Brisbane, visit the irreverent and culture-shaping Museum of Old and New Art in Hobart by Fender Katsalidis, and explore ARM Architecture's iconic Shrine of Remembrance on Melbourne's grand axis. Highlighting the impact of the buildings, each is paired with a number that tells a story of occupation: capacity concert audiences, the number of babies born and large crowds gathered to witness moments in history. Alongside the key projects, ten essays by leading thinkers document the cultures and ideas that have shaped architecture today.
MMXX guides the reader through contemporary architecture in Australia, foregrounding it's invaluable contribution to our built environment and inspiring an optimistic future.
