"I started playing with light as a medium at about the same time I started playing with sound when a teenager". In 2016 Paul Stolper Gallery in London presented an installation of seven light music boxes by the artist, musician and composer Brian Eno. This new exhibition of lightbox works explores the themes that inform and inspire Eno's particular vision of light and time manipulation. As the artist puts it, "I have been trying to slow music down so it becomes more like painting, and to animate paintings so they become more like music". Brian Eno's "Light Music" uses lightboxes to seamlessly phase through an infinite combination of seductive self-generated "colourscapes" using a series of interwoven LED lights, each accompanied by a unique musical composition. By extending temporal boundaries with a work that seemingly has no beginning or end, no finality, Eno "encourages people to stay in one place for a while". Alongside the light works are two lenticular works, "Center Decenter" and "Tender Divisor", which use a medium by which lenses give his printed image the illusion of both depth and the sense of animation, giving movement to what would otherwise be a static abstract shape, re-enforcing Eno's notion of a work "which one can look at and walk away from as one would a painting: it sits still and you move". Here, for the first time, numerous variations of the light pieces and lenticulars are reproduced together to create an artwork in itself, published for the first time in volume form. The works are accompanied by two specially commissioned essays by the artist and renowned critic and writer, Michael Bracewell.

Since the dawn of time, people have been fascinated by the idea of travelling to the stars, which is vividly illustrated by utopian and dystopian works of architecture, the visual arts, and cinematography. In many ways, the designs and symbols associated with space travel also found their way into popular culture in the former Soviet Union and it's satellite states. Often spurned as propaganda by the West, they informed the design of mass-produced consumer goods and public art works in the USSR. While in our part of the world space travel largely turned into a political race as a result of the Cold War, it's appeal found an aesthetic expression in everyday life in the East. This book presents the results of in-depth research and extensive travels through a total of seven countries. It's prime focus is the impact of space exploration on everyday life in it's pioneering age between the late 1950s and the 1980s and the persistence of related concepts and utopian ideas in today's society. Told as a visual story, it combines artistic and documentary photography, portraits of contemporary witnesses, landscape snapshots, and historical documents. It is in part an historical investigation since many of the pioneers of the space age are no longer alive and many of the formerly ubiquitous items have disappeared.

As the subtitle emphasises, the temporal dimension holds great importance in the neoclassic sculptor's creative and productive phases: the plaster artefact posits a before and an after. Before comes the preparatory study; after is the finished work. Plaster stands in between, it is central. The plaster forms are not the finished works, however they contain all their power and potential. Feuerman's works represent a state of female mind rather that an alluring body meant to attract the male gaze. They suggest that women look at themselves differently from men looking at them, that a woman is more innately creative than a man. Many of Feuerman's figures have a fragmented quality, recalling those by Auguste Rodin, and the aesthetics of Surrealism. This is the most comprehensive survey of Feuerman's work in sculpture to date. Mainly because of European art lovers growing enthusiasm for these subtle, refined compositions, some artists and their work soon gained worldwide recognition and fame.
